TASTING: Like the venerable Cognac, it is fresh and floral, but with a rather dark, tannic notes that it does not disappear in the cocktail mix, Punch or Julep. The fact that it is, is 45% alcohol more concentrated than ordinary Cognac VS (almost always bottled at 40%) makes it particularly well suited to the spirit-forward style cocktails and drinks are mixed, as shown before Prohibition.
